Sting 535 Pro: The compact powerhouse for the Romsdalsfjord

Looking for a no-nonsense boat that does what it's supposed to do? The Sting 535 Pro is the favourite of many local Norwegians, and for good reason. Despite its compact size, this boat feels surprisingly big. This is due to its wide, flat design that ensures rock-solid stability on the water.

Behind it hangs a reliable 50HP Honda 4-stroke. This engine is known for its quiet operation and is extremely economical, so you can cruise all day without worrying about the tank. Whether there are two of you heading out on the fjord to fish or you just want to cast a quick line on your own, the Sting 535 Pro is handy, safe and ready for action.

Features

  • Rock solid on the water: The extra-wide hull makes this boat more stable than much larger boats. You can safely stand to fish without the boat rocking unnecessarily.
  • Honda 50HP: A quiet and very reliable engine. Powerful enough to sail smoothly to your spot, but economical enough to keep costs down.
  • Raymarine DragonFly 4 Pro GPS - Fishfinder
  • Handy size: The 535 is very easy to drive and manoeuvre in the harbour. Ideal if you are a little less experienced with large boats.
  • Lots of room to move: No unnecessary luxuries getting in the way, but an open and practical deck with maximum space for you and your fishing gear.
  • Low entry: Its low and stable position makes it easy to get on board.
  • Note: Boating licence mandatory for skippers born after 1980; some experience is desirable.

Deposit, cleaning and excess

Our boats have comprehensive insurance. Of course, there is an excess, and we charge a deposit for the boat. Click here for current rental conditions.

Fuel

Boat hire prices do not include petrol. We ensure that the boats are refuelled at the end of the day, and that there is enough petrol on board for a day at sea. Petrol will be settled at the end of your stay. Keep in mind that larger engines in particular consume a lot of petrol. Consumption of more than 20 litres per day is not uncommon.

Rules of conduct at sea

Sea fishing is serious business. Never forget to respect the sea with all its capriciousness and use your common sense:

  • Always wear a life jacket, these are provided and mandatory.
  • Do not consume alcohol, especially as a boat driver.
  • Should unexpected problems arise, you can always contact us. Make sure the number of the fiskesenter is always in your phone. Also put the number of the coast guard in your phone.
  • Stay at a minimum distance of 100 metres from fish farms.
  • Dress according to the weather conditions. Bear in mind that it is often colder on the water than on land. Heat suits can be rented at the fiskesenter.
  • Treat the fish and other animals with respect. Release the fish you don't want to eat.
  • Make sure you have a basic set of first aid equipment.
  • Do not fish for protected species. For information see Sea angling in Norway - Regulations for foreign visitors (fiskeridir.no)
  • Respect the minimum dimensions of fish see Minimum sizes for salt water species (fiskeridir.no)
