The Magic of the Fjord: Fishing & Boating

• Unique Fishing Experience with Dennis: Dreaming of hooking your own fish on the breathtaking fjord? Get on board with our experienced guide Dennis! He will take you out on the water and share all his secrets for a successful catch. A true experience!
• Enchanting Fjord Tour: Prefer pure enjoyment of the surroundings? Dennis will show you the most beautiful spots during a wonderful fjord tour. Who knows, you might spot a majestic bald eagle, curious seals or playful porpoises. Experiencing the fjord from the water is really special.
  • Cost: NOK 600 per person for a 3-hour adventure.
• On the road by yourself: Feel the captain in you? Hire a boat and explore the fish-rich waters on your own or enjoy the tranquillity on the fjord. More information and reservations at reception.

Discover the Environment on Foot: Walking routes full of Stories

Put on your walking shoes and explore the stunning natural surroundings and history right on the doorstep of Romsdal Feriesenter!

• Historic Bunkers & Breathtaking Views (Nakken): Turn right onto the road and, after about 1 kilometre, you will see a wooden information board on your left about World War II bunkers (also note the 'Stikk Ut' sign, the marker for Norwegian hiking trails). Dive (literally!) into history and explore the various bunkers. They can be a bit wet and adventurous - good footwear is recommended! This fairly easy hike is a true exploration. If you walk further, the 'Nakken' awaits you: a beautiful viewpoint over the fjord. The climb up the historic stone steps, built by Russian prisoners of war, is short but tough. But the view? Absolutely worth it! Tip: After the letterbox with the logbook, walk a little further for the very best photo spot!
• Atmospheric BBQ place by the water: Also for this route, turn right onto the road. Walk about 100 metres past the wooden information board (which you'll find after 1 km). On your right, you'll see a 'Stikk Ut' sign. Follow this path and you will discover not only the remains of a World War II kitchen, but also an idyllic BBQ spot right by the water. Perfect for a lunch in nature!

Practicalities for a Carefree Stay

• Fresh Laundry: Doing some laundry? You can! You may use the washing machine at the Fiskesenter Guesthouse. The cost is NOK 50 per wash. When you leave, please let us know how many times you have used the machine, or send us an app.
• Conviviality by the Fire & BBQ:
  • Fire pit: Fancy an atmospheric evening? Our fire pit, located against the rock on the way to the harbour, awaits you. A basket of firewood is available at reception for NOK 50. Bring marshmallows?
  • BBQ at the Motorhome: Enjoy your own freshly caught fish (or other goodies) on the BBQ! You can use a BBQ, also for a small, cosy fire at your camper. Just check with reception before using it.
