Nesset Prestegard

Discover the birthplace of the famous Norwegian writer Bjørnstjerne Bjørnson (1832-1910). He received the Nobel Prize for literature in 1903. He wrote many poems, as well as the lyrics of the Norwegian national anthem. He is among Norway's four greatest writers, and was very influential in his time. You can tour the museum, or take a historical/cultural walk to Prestnesset, Prestaksla and the Bjørnstien trail. It is a beautiful route via Åndalsnes. It takes about three hours.
